DELTA COASTAL SELECTS EVALUATIONS

Our process:

DCS carries out a year-long process of assessment and provides opportunities to those players excelling in their current environment within our partner clubs – South Delta United, North Delta FC and Coastal FC.

We will NOT be hosting on-field evaluations. Rather Interested players are recommended to email Russ Heggie at deltacoastal2020@gmail.com intially and complete the Declaration of interest found here to arrange the evaluation with the specific team.

Key dates:
Returning player declarations Feb.16th
Evaluations completed by March 8th
Registration deadline March 15th
Player declaration for 2024-25 season (to be completed by Feb.15th by returning players).
-Teams will be required to secure players via letter of invitation and completed registration within 48 hours of delivery.
-Evaluations will take place from now until March 8th during training and/or matches.
-Team officials to confirm rosters of a minimum 16 players by March 15th via letter of invitation and confirmed registrations.
*Letter of invitation with Registration link to be included.
-Team officials send invitations to players in order to register. (48 hours to register).

Questions you may have:

  1. Will my child be considered without the on-field evaluation? In speaking with our volunteer coaches it is clear there is familiarity with many players both currently playing and not playing at the DCS level who are being considered for places next season.
  2. How will we be notified if our child is offered a spot? DCS will be sending out invite emails early March. If you receive an invite, you will have 48 hours to reply and accept the position.
  3. Will we have to pay our registration up front? Witihin the Invitation to accept the roster spot the link for registration will be provided, players will have 48 hours to register.
  4. What if my child is not offered a position? Will I hear from you? At this time, we will only be sending release notifications to current DCS players. All players registered for evaluations will have their information provided to each age group coach in order to continue providing training and match opportunities to those players continuing to excel at their current level of play. Permanent movement into these teams is possible if, after observation in those training or match environments, it is deemed a suitable place for the player.

Thank you all for your understanding. We appreciate this may be a disappointment to many of your kids, but we plan on carrying forward our commitment to the process we all believe in, which is one of continued opportunity and evaluation for all players.
